After the success of their jazz adaptation of Pierre et le Loup and Le Carnaval des animaux, the seventeen musicians of the Amazing Keystone Big Band are back with Django EXTENDED. In this project, centered on the legendary personality of Django Reinhardt, they interpret the greatest hits of the famous guitarist in their own way.
The Amazing Keystone Big Band has produced an explosive new album that gives Django's music a new dimension, that of the big band, with four prestigious guests: Stochelo Rosenberg (guitar), Didier Lockwood (violin), Thomas Dutronc (guitar), and Marian Badoï (accordion).
The repertoire chosen for this album follows the life of Django Reinhardt. It features his greatest hits, such as Nuages, Minor swing, Manoir de mes rêves, Tears, and Djangology, as well as some of his lesser-known pieces, like Anouman, Flèche d’or, Troublant boléro, and the mysterious Rythme futur.
